Connecting African Agricultural Origins With Global Markets
How KIWORLD Commodity Link Canada is building trusted connections between producers, exporters, and international buyers
The global agricultural commodity market depends on strong connections between producing regions and consuming markets. Behind every shipment of coffee or cocoa is a network of farmers, cooperatives, exporters, traders, logistics providers, and buyers working together to move products from origin to destination.
At KIWORLD COMMODITY LINK CANADA, our role is to help strengthen those connections.
Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, KIWORLD connects qualified international buyers with trusted agricultural supply networks across key producing regions, with a particular focus on coffee from East Africa and cocoa from West Africa.
From Origin to Opportunity
Agricultural producers have enormous potential, but reaching international markets can be challenging. Buyers, meanwhile, need dependable suppliers who can provide consistent quality, documentation, transparency, and reliable commercial communication.
We aim to help bridge this gap.
Our sourcing approach connects buyers with established origin partners, including exporters, farmer cooperatives, Licensed Buying Companies, and producer networks.
The objective is not simply to facilitate a transaction. It is to develop relationships that can support sustainable trade over the long term.
Our Focus on Coffee and Cocoa
Coffee is an important part of our East African sourcing activities, with a focus on origins such as Uganda and Ethiopia.
Our coffee interests include Arabica and Robusta, single-origin coffees, micro-lots, and washed or natural processing.
In West Africa, our cocoa sourcing focuses on Cameroon, Ghana, and Côte d’Ivoire, with opportunities for conventional and certified organic cocoa according to supplier and buyer requirements.
These origins are home to millions of farmers and communities whose livelihoods depend on agricultural production.
Why Traceability Matters
Today’s buyers increasingly want to understand more than just price and volume.
They want to know:
Where did the commodity come from?
Who produced it?
How was it processed?
What documentation supports the shipment?
Can the supply chain meet applicable market requirements?
Traceability helps provide greater visibility into these questions.
At KIWORLD, we work with origin partners to support supply-chain visibility and appropriate documentation according to the commodity, supplier, destination market, and transaction.
Building Long-Term Partnerships
We believe sustainable international trade depends on relationships built on trust.
Our core values—Integrity, Quality, Traceability, Partnership, and Sustainability—guide how we approach relationships with buyers and origin partners.
We seek to create commercial connections where producers receive fair value, suppliers have access to appropriate markets, and buyers receive commodities that meet agreed requirements.
Connecting Canada With the World
Our Canadian headquarters in Halifax provides an international platform from which we develop relationships across producing and consuming markets.
Our ambition is to become a trusted link between agricultural origins and global demand.
From African farms to international markets, KIWORLD Commodity Link Canada is building connections that create opportunity.
